Amit qualified from St. Bartholomews and the Royal London Hospital in 2001. Following his Vocational Training, he was selected for a Senior House Officer post in Restorative Dentistry where he treated complex cases and advanced his knowledge of treatment planning and patient management. Following this he underwent training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he gained experience in the extraction of difficult teeth.
Amit completed an extensive four-year Masters Degree at Kings College London, to gain advanced training in Prosthodontics with Merit in 2010.
At Guys Hospital, he has treated patients with hypodontia, advanced tooth wear and complex rehabilitation cases. He has been trained in the planning and provision of dental implants by Consultants and Professors who excel in this field.
He has a special interest in dealing with anxious patients with his calm gentle manner. He provides complex implant treatments including teeth in a day, sinus and bone grafts and co-ordinates a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care where indicated.
He has been accepting referrals from dentists in Essex, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire for over 10 years and is keen on building rapport with dentists to develop a mutually supportive network.
He is passionate about continued education and was one of the first clinicians involved in piloting enhanced skills training for DF2 dentists within a practice setting. He is also keen on mentoring dentists to develop new skills including restoration of dental implants.
He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and keeps up to date with developments in dentistry and related technology on a regular basis. He uses current intra-oral scanning techniques in treatment planning and the provision of Restorative Dentistry.
